Crate Late Model Champion

Home Page

Welcome to the official website of Joe Warren and JW Motorsports; the home of the #11 crate late model. The car is a 2010 Rocket; powered by a 602 Chevy 350 HP crate motor and regularly competes at Delaware International Speedway. Please take a few minutes to check out our sponsors at the bottom of this page. They are very important to our race team and we would appreciate it if you would keep them in mind if you can use their services.

After a rainout to cool down my last win, we were back to racing two weeks later. Unfortunately, I didn't feel good about my chances to repeat the victory due to the conditions of the race track. It had rained all week and the modifieds were first up, so that meant the track would probably peel up and get real rough. My theory was proved correct in the heat races. I started 7th and could only just barely manage a 4th place finish. I missed the inversion for the feature, and would roll off in the 8th position. We were the last race of the evening, and the track did not hold up well. At the start of the race, I was trying to get a feel for the racetrack and the other drivers, and in doing so would fall back to 12th position in just a few laps. Fortunately, We had a caution and I was able to get a game plan together. I slowly worked my way towards the front and with a little help from attrition,I drove to a third place finish. This was much better than I expected, and I was very pleased, considering it was so rough. We might run Georgetown Speedway this Friday night and return to DIS onSaturday night. ThoughI missed a race for vacation, I am still within the hunt for the championship right now.

With June, comes the heat; on and off the track. I worked hard all week to get the car back together for Saturday night. Temperatures were in the 90's on race day. I started 6th in my heat race, and could only muster up a 3rd place finish on the unusually slick surface. As night fell, the temps went down slightly and the track came back to us. Our feature was run at the end of the night and for the first time ever, I got the luck of the inversion and started on the pole. I made the right adjustments to the car, as it was almost perfect. I lead wire to wire to get my first win of the season. I have to thank Mike and Kevin for helping me get the car back together after my unfortunate night at Potomac, my friends, and my sponsors for all of their support.
